Interview // NATHAN GRAY on REBEL SONGS, Mental Health & Authenticity

Or Listen at: Apple * Stitcher * Spotifty

This week we are very excited to be joined by NATHAN GRAY to chat about his newest musical project, NATHAN GRAY & THE IRON ROSES, and their new album REBEL SONGS.

Rebel Songs is a rip roaring Clash inspired, fist pumping record of anthemic punk rock! Rebel Songs is the perfect soundtrack for our current political landscape, while also managing to feel like an uplifting work of self-discovery. It’s angry, but within that anger is a large dose of optimism that’s in the DNA, and that’s what makes Rebel Songs work so well. It feels hopeful. It brings joy. It’s a really fantastic record from a musician who has explored so many different aspects of his personality.

In today’s chat we talked to Nathan about how he worked to find his voice for this album, and how this is the most authentic work he has ever put out. We talk a lot about mental health and using art to help deal with past traumas and heal. All of this and more in this week’s podcast chat!

Rebel Songs is out now on End Hits Records and is available in the US from Deathwish Records. Nathan and the Iron Roses are out on tour right now.

Opps! I’m still typing up the interview!
